Veterans Day in Blackpool
The biggest joke going is that Blackpool can organise the Veteran's Day celebrations. If, after 80 years of practice, they cannot get Remembrance Day right, what idiot thinks they can get this much divisive celebration right?
The Veterans get 100% backing. These self appointed bodies get nothing but derision, so rightly earned.
Had not one of the organisers looked at the long range weather forecast which, with surprising accuracy, forecast almost to the minute, the time the winds were to hit the Fylde Coast?

RIP. John Burnside - Royal Marines
Suddenly, at his home on St David's Road, St Annes on the Sea, on May 21st 2008, former Royal Marine John Matthew Burnside, aged 68.
Cremation at Lytham Friday 30th May 2008.
John was one of the fittest young men of his time. A good runner and a capable boxer, he later became a policeman but left to follow a career in the plumbing trade.
Who could ever forget John joining his oppo in the rafters of the old Fylde Rugby Club, whilst Wandering Walter tried to complete his act, and walking off stage to the comment..."I can't compete with that comedian..."
Walter, better men than you have been out performed by a couple of pissed bootnecks.
Rest in Peace old oppo. Until we swing from the rafters of heaven.

Frying Pan
A man is sitting reading his newspaper when his wife sneaks up
behind him and whacks him on the head with a frying pan.
"What was that for? He asks.
"That was for the piece of paper in your trouser pocket with the name "Mary Ellen written on it," she replies.
"Don't be silly, " he says "Two weeks ago when I went to the races Mary Ellen was the name of one of the horse I bet on".
His wife seemed satisfied at this and apologized.
Three days later he's again sitting in his chair reading when she nails him with an even bigger frying pan, knocking him out cold.
When he comes around he asks, "What was that for?"
"Your fucken horse phoned!"
